Astrobiology is an idea quickly becoming a serious topic for many scientists. At its basic roots, astrobiology is looking for the origin of the building blocks of life and how the situation arises to create life. The study looks at life as a part of the universe, not just a unique occurrence on earth. Many disciplines cover astrobiology and the spectrum that it encompasses is enormous. So much has been imagined about life outside our planet but astrobiology attempts to turn imagination into reality.
The
world has visions of finding life on other planets and indeed, there are no
environments like earth as yet discovered, however, there is a vast amount of
unknown information about our own solar system let alone the galaxy and universe
still to be explored. Astrobiology
looks toward other worlds for some sign of current life or even extinct life.
Scientists are also looking for life on earth to find other destinations
to live besides earth. As our
science and vision improve, the ideas might not be so far fetched as once
thought. Is it even probable to think life is unique to earth given the vast
amount of stars in the countless galaxies over billions of years.
