First, please watch this video: Hybrid
vs. online courses (5:41)(5 minutes, 41 seconds)
This is the same video that
was listed on the
Start O fLecture Slides page
(you only have to watch them once)
There are several, free, online resources to help you decide. I've listed a couple here, but feel free to search
for others.
(Also - please notify the instructor if any of these links are dead!)
The real value pages like these is using them as a starting point to reflect on your own approach to learning, and think about stuff you might not have considered on your own. For example, you probably thought about "How good is my Internet connection?" before signing up for an online class but you might not have thought about "Do I seek help when I'm stuck?"
So read through a page or two (don't worry - they're short), and then reflect on the questions that they posed. Think deeply about who you are, what you need to succeed, and what's best for you when it comes to taking this class in an online or a hybrid class format.
Choose whether you want to take this course in the online format or the hybrid format, and then inform the teacher by including
a file in the work that you submit for this lesson.
If you do not inform the instructor then the instructor will grade you as if you're an online student.
